Indigenous Innovation and Leadership in Research Network Grants
Overview
The Tri-Council initiative supports the creation of Indigenous-led research networks that advance Indigenous knowledge systems, methodologies, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Funding Amount
- Stage 1: Up to $75,000 (1 year)
- Stage 2 (invitation only): Up to $1.75 million over four years
Eligibility / Who It’s For
First Nations or Métis not-for-profit organizations, postsecondary institutions, and Indigenous organizations serving more than one distinction.

- Creation of Indigenous-led research networks
- Training and mentorship systems to build research capacity
- Interdisciplinary collaborations across communities and institutions
