Mentor-Apprentice Program (MAP)
Overview
One-on-one Indigenous language immersion for B.C. First Nations learners (two streams: MAP up to 300 hrs/year; MAP Connections 100 hrs) to build proficiency and pass language on to others.

$6,500 – $21,000
Eligibility / Who It’s For
B.C. First Nations learners (MAP: ages 16–50; MAP Connections: 16+); must be living in B.C. and learning one of B.C.’s First Nations languages.
Project Examples
- Immersion with a fluent mentor in homes, on the land, and in community
- Preparation for future language teaching
