Production Program for Features & Series
Overview:
Supports Indigenous screen-based creators and production companies in the production of feature-length films and television or streaming series. The program helps bring Indigenous stories to screen while creating employment, training, and industry growth opportunities.
Funding Amount:
- Up to $750,000 per project
- Projects must have a minimum total production budget of $1,000,000
Eligibility / Who It’s For:
- Indigenous-controlled production companies (minimum 51% Indigenous ownership)
- Registered Canadian corporations with screen-based production as their primary business
- At least two of three key creative roles (director, writer, producer/showrunner) must be Indigenous
- Applicants must be First Nations, Inuit, or Métis citizens or permanent residents of Canada
