Sport for Social Development in Indigenous Communities: Stream Two

Overview
Part of the SSDIC program, this stream funds Indigenous governments, communities, or Indigenous non-profit organizations to deliver sport and recreation projects in Indigenous communities. The focus is on social development outcomes: health, education, reducing risky behaviour, etc.

Maximum request: $249,999 over two years

Eligibility / Who It’s For

  • First Nations or Band Councils recognized by Government of Canada
  • Inuit communities (recognized under agreements)
  • Métis Nation / government recognized
  • Indigenous non-profit organizations that are Indigenous-owned / Indigenous-operated and primarily serve Indigenous peoples
