SSHRC Indigenous Capacity & Leadership in Research – Connection Grants
Overview
The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) is offering Indigenous Capacity and Leadership in Research – Connection Grants. These grants support Indigenous-led initiatives that strengthen research capacity, leadership, and knowledge sharing. They are intended to advance Indigenous self-determination in research and build connections between communities and researchers.
Funding Amount
Up to $50,000 (1 year)
Eligibility / Who It’s For
First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities, Indigenous organizations, and Indigenous-led groups partnered with eligible Canadian institutions.

- Community-based research projects
- Workshops to share Indigenous knowledge
- Leadership training or mentorship programs
