Creating, Knowing and Sharing – Short-Term Projects
This stream of the Creating, Knowing and Sharing program provides project funding to support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals, groups, and Indigenous-led arts organizations. It supports short-term artistic or cultural projects that help strengthen cultural identity, foster intergenerational sharing, and build community connections.
Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program
This program provides loan guarantees to support Indigenous equity ownership in natural resource and infrastructure projects. By backing loans, it helps Indigenous communities secure financing to participate in major projects.
Emergency Management Assistance Program
EMAP funds First Nations on reserve to support emergency management activities. It covers response and recovery, as well as mitigation and preparedness.
First Nation Adapt Program
This program supports First Nations communities south of 60°N to assess and plan for climate change impacts. It funds risk assessments, planning studies, and projects to build climate resilience at the community level.
Creating, Knowing and Sharing – Small-Scale Activities
This stream funds small-scale, short-duration projects by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals, groups, and Indigenous-led organizations. It supports cultural and artistic practices with flexible, accessible funding.
Creating, Knowing and Sharing – Travel
Provides funding for travel by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals, groups, or organizations to support participation in events, workshops, mentorships, or exchanges that strengthen cultural identity and artistic practice.
Supporting Indigenous Women’s and 2SLGBTQI+ Organizations Program
This program provides funding to Indigenous women’s and 2SLGBTQI+ organizations to support projects that advance gender equality, promote safety and wellbeing, and build leadership capacity. The goal is to strengthen Indigenous-led organizations that serve women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people by providing financial resources for operational stability, programming, and advocacy.
Community Opportunity Readiness Program (CORP)
The Community Opportunity Readiness Program (CORP) provides project-based funding to support First Nations and Inuit communities in pursuing economic development opportunities. It covers a wide range of activities from planning and feasibility studies to business infrastructure and start-up costs.
Access to Business Opportunities (ISC)
The Access to Business Opportunities program provides support for Indigenous organizations, communities, and businesses to pursue regional or national projects that enhance Indigenous entrepreneurship. Funding helps Indigenous businesses access new markets, strengthen capacity, and improve access to economic opportunities.
First Nations, Inuit and Métis Child and Family Services Capacity (ISC)
This is a capacity-building funding stream under Indigenous Services Canada. It supports Indigenous governing bodies, communities, or organizations to build capacity in child and family services in culturally appropriate ways.
