The fund prioritizes urgent, community-based initiatives that are responding to immediate issues and advancing Indigenous self-determination through non-violent direct action and movement-building activities.
New Relationship Trust: Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative
Provides funding to support clean energy projects that advance Indigenous self-determination, economic development, and environmental stewardship in British Columbia.
New Fiscal Relationship Grant
The New Fiscal Relationship (NFR) Grant is an optional Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) funding mechanism designed to provide First Nations, Tribal Councils, and First Nations–led service delivery organizations with long-term, flexible, and predictable funding. The grant aims to strengthen self-determination, reduce administrative burden, and improve financial stability across multiple programs and services.
