Emergency Management Non-Structural Mitigation and Preparedness Program

The Emergency Management Assistance Program (EMAP) supports First Nations communities in building resilience, preparing for natural hazards and responding to emergencies. The Non-Structural Mitigation and Preparedness funding stream is proposal-based and supports projects that strengthen preparedness and mitigation capacity for emergencies caused by natural disasters.

New Fiscal Relationship Grant

The New Fiscal Relationship (NFR) Grant is an optional Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) funding mechanism designed to provide First Nations, Tribal Councils, and First Nations–led service delivery organizations with long-term, flexible, and predictable funding. The grant aims to strengthen self-determination, reduce administrative burden, and improve financial stability across multiple programs and services.

Operating on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, and Attawandaron peoples, connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum.
