Aboriginal Business Investment Fund (ABIF)
Overview:
Supports Indigenous community-owned businesses and economic development projects in Alberta. The program helps communities build infrastructure, purchase equipment, expand operations, and create long-term economic opportunities.
Funding Amount:
Minimum $150,000 to maximum $750,000 per project. Funding may cover up to 100% of eligible costs.
Eligibility / Who It’s For:
- Indigenous communities in Alberta
- Indigenous community-owned corporate entities
- Applicants must be at least 51% Indigenous-owned and controlled
- Businesses must be in good standing
Individual entrepreneurs and sole proprietors are not eligible.
