Supports Indigenous governments, organizations, and communities in Newfoundland and Labrador to develop and deliver projects that prevent violence, promote safety, and strengthen cultural and community responses.

Supports First Nations in British Columbia to strengthen governance, leadership, and community capacity through Nation-building initiatives.

Supports B.C. First Nations to plan, carry out and document community-based cultural practices and events that strengthen identity and intergenerational knowledge transfer.

Program supports research, development, creation, production and sharing of work, plus professional development; 2025 re-organized program with staggered re-opening.

This program provides funding to Indigenous women’s and 2SLGBTQI+ organizations to support projects that advance gender equality, promote safety and wellbeing, and build leadership capacity. The goal is to strengthen Indigenous-led organizations that serve women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people by providing financial resources for operational stability, programming, and advocacy.

An SSDIC stream specifically for projects serving Indigenous women, girls, and/or 2SLGBTQI+ people. These are sport & recreation initiatives aimed at social development (health, education, etc.).

Part of the SSDIC program, this stream funds Indigenous governments, communities, or Indigenous non-profit organizations to deliver sport and recreation projects in Indigenous communities. The focus is on social development outcomes: health, education, reducing risky behaviour, etc.

Creation is a dynamic, multi-stream funding program designed to lift up youth-led projects focused on community wellness, land-based engagement, and cultural connection. The October intake includes two new streams: Healing and Belonging and Land & Food Sovereignty.
