Feasibility study: Adaptation in Action

Overview:
The Feasibility Study: Adaptation in Action program helps municipalities, Indigenous communities, and eligible partners assess the viability of climate adaptation projects before implementation. Funding supports studies that evaluate the technical, financial, legal, and operational feasibility of projects designed to reduce climate-related risks and improve community resilience. Successful applicants also receive coaching to help incorporate equity and inclusion considerations into their project planning.

Funding Amount:

  • Grant covering up to 80% of eligible project costs
  • Maximum grant of $70,000
  • Supports projects with anticipated implementation costs of up to $1 million

  • Canadian municipal governments
  • Indigenous communities
  • Municipally owned corporations
  • Regional, provincial, and territorial organizations delivering municipal services
  • Not-for-profit organizations
  • Non-governmental organizations
  • Research institutes and universities

For-profit entities are not eligible.
