Creating, Knowing & Sharing — Small-Scale Activities

Overview:
Supports First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists, cultural carriers, groups, collectives, and organizations with small-scale artistic and cultural activities. The program is designed for activities that require smaller amounts of funding and faster access to support.

Funding Amount:
Up to $5,000.

Eligibility / Who It’s For:

• First Nations, Inuit, and Métis professional artists
• Cultural carriers and arts professionals
• Indigenous groups and collectives
• Indigenous not-for-profit and for-profit organizations

Organizations currently receiving core grants from the Canada Council are not eligible.

Project Examples:
Purchase of specialized artistic materials
Honoraria for Elders, artists, or cultural carriers
Artistic and career development activities
Workshops and mentorship
Small cultural gatherings and creative activities
