Indigenous Community-Based Climate Monitoring Program
Overview:
Provides funding to support Indigenous-led climate monitoring projects that track environmental and climate change impacts using both Indigenous knowledge and western science.
Funding Amount:
Approximately $8 million per year distributed across funded projects.
Eligibility / Who It’s For:
Indigenous communities, Nations, governments, and representative organizations across Canada.

Community-based climate monitoring initiatives
Hiring and training community members
Youth engagement and skill development
Data collection, analysis, and knowledge sharing
