FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Provides funding for Indigenous artists and arts organizations in Québec to support the development and production of artistic projects. This program encourages continuity, cultural expression, and advancement of Indigenous arts practices.

Supports Indigenous artists in Québec for small-scale artistic projects, creation, training, or exploration. These micro-grants are designed to quickly fund emerging or established Indigenous creators with flexible, accessible support.

Supports Indigenous-led research networks that advance Indigenous knowledge, community priorities, and collaborative research leadership. Multi-stage funding strengthens national Indigenous research capacity.

Provides financial support for Indigenous communities, organizations, and individuals to participate in federal impact assessments for major projects. Covers engagement, travel, expert advice, and participation in hearings or consultations.

Supports Indigenous communities in monitoring, stewardship, and protection of their traditional lands, waters, and ice. Helps strengthen Indigenous governance, environmental oversight, and land-based cultural knowledge.

Supports First Nations in British Columbia to strengthen governance, leadership, and community capacity through Nation-building initiatives.

Provides funding to support clean energy projects that advance Indigenous self-determination, economic development, and environmental stewardship in British Columbia.

Provides funding to support mineral and economic development projects in Manitoba that create Indigenous partnerships, jobs, and regional growth.

Supports First Nations communities and organizations to revitalize, maintain and strengthen Indigenous languages, including program delivery and resource development.

Supports First Nation communities in Ontario to plan, develop and implement community energy projects that improve reliability, lower costs, or advance clean energy.

Supports remote and soon-to-be connected First Nations communities in Ontario by offering free energy audits and no-cost energy-efficiency upgrades for homes and businesses to reduce energy use and improve comfort.

Provides funding and technical support for on-reserve First Nations communities in Ontario to complete energy-efficiency upgrades in band-owned commercial and institutional buildings such as community centres, schools, and arenas.

Supports Indigenous Nations and groups to invest in large projects across sectors such as natural resources, agriculture, telecom, transportation, tourism, healthcare, and technology, through provincial loan guarantees.

Provides loan guarantees (minimum $5M) for Indigenous communities and entities investing in eligible natural resource and value-added agriculture projects, enabling equity participation and lowering borrowing costs.

Supports Indigenous-led workforce development in B.C. to address employment gaps and build capacity (labour market plans/studies, cultural recognition supports, job fairs).

Coaching, workshops and resources to help B.C. First Nations and Indigenous organizations explore and set up co-operative business structures; accepts expressions of interest.

Non-repayable contributions for B.C. First Nations governments, Indigenous entrepreneurs and organizations to plan, launch, expand or transition regulated cannabis businesses. Streams: Community Engagement; Business Planning/Design/Capital.

Supports small-scale activities and travel to grow and advance artistic careers or practices in Canada or abroad.

Supports projects that build meaningful relationships between Indigenous Peoples and the Department of National Defence/Canadian Armed Forces through trust, dialogue, and cultural awareness.

Provides financial assistance to designated institutions and Indigenous organizations for the acquisition or repatriation of cultural property of outstanding significance.
